Ongoing project demanding meticulous transportation planning, short deadlines, and special customs regimes, which concerns planning, transportation and special handling of scanning mechanism with sole purpose of inspecting and maintenance of Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP).

Tap is transporting natural gas from Caspian gas fields to Europe through Greece, Albania, Italy in order to be eventually distributed to Central Europe.

Cross-border operations, tight schedules and detailed timetable of scanning procedure added to the complexity of customs formalities and transportation plans. Despite challenges, operation was completed successfully, after the NAS storage devices collected necessary data and were shipped back to NDT, Norway.

It’s worth mentioning that Delta Maritime has been involved in the construction of TAP during 2016-2017 managing the main marshaling yard in Kavala and various pipe yards as well as delivering more than 17000 shipments of pipes and construction machineries to site – 80% of it being special transports!
